DBRC’s core objectives are to collect, collate and mobilise information on the habitats and species within Devon. Species records submitted to DBRC add to the information we make available to inform planning, land management, research, and the targeting of conservation priorities within Devon. We work with a wide range of specialists at local and national level to ensure the data we hold is accurate and as up to date as possible, and in some cases we may request additional information from you on your sighting to aid this process.
The heat map on the right gives an indication of where users are recording and submitting records through this system to DBRC, we also recieve thousands of species records from local and national recording schemes, surveys and specialists which cover many other areas, and are targeted at specific priority species and habitats.
